Zalea mobilizes associative and community televisions, producers and creators to press authorities to enable immediate access for independent television to broadcast by all available technical means and in the best possible conditions, according to the dispositions of the August 2000 law on the Liberty of Communication and the Media. Zalea namely launched the Appeal of the Tiers Secteur Audiovisuel ("third sector" non profit and community based international free media network) to the French government and the CSA, which has to date been signed by some hundred independent associative and cooperative structures around the world, all mobilized on common objectives, reflexion and exchange. If you wish to sign the Appeal and involve your audiovisual group, project or creative collective in mobilising for the next stage of the storming of the Bastille audiovisuelle, drop us a line

Zalea TV already broadcast from March 20th to September 20th in 2001: 3 hours daily on the hertzien channel 36 from the historical Cognacq-Jay studios and simultaneously 24h a day for 2 months on CanalSatellite's "events channel" from March 20 2001 to May 6th 2001.
